In 2009, my wife and I embarked on a journey that many urban dwellers dream of – we purchased a rural property in Mono while maintaining our busy lives in downtown Toronto.

We quickly realized that owning a rural retreat came with its own set of unique challenges. We learned the ins and outs of day-to-day and seasonal maintenance for country properties.
